State/LEA and School Test Performance
  • Go to NC DPI Accountability Services
  • Choose test results from 2010-2011
  • Choose the appropriate drop down boxes to access test results. For example:
    • School System- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools
    • School- South Mecklenburg High
    • Subject- Biology
    • Type of Assessment- All
    • Now click "View Report"
  • Look at all of that beautiful disaggregated EOC data!
  • Now gather with your PLC and choose a subject area to analyze, ideally your own subject area. If not, then choose a subject area that interests you.
    • Look for subgroup data that stands out, whether it be in a positive or negative fashion.
    • Prepare a mini-presentation to discuss the subgroup data to the whole group.
      • The presentation should include a description of strategies that led to the success of the subgroup OR a description of strategies intended to address the needs of an underachieving subgroup.

Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) Subgroup Results
  • Go to NC DPI Accountability Services
  • Choose AYP results from 2010-2011
  • Choose the appropriate drop down boxes to access AYP results. For example:
    • School System- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools
    • Report- School Detail
    • School- South Mecklenburg High
    • Now click "View Report"
  • Look at all of that beautiful disaggregated AYP data!
  • Now gather with your PLC and analyze either the Reading or Mathematics data set for 2010-2011.
    • Look for subgroup data that stands out, whether it be in a positive or negative fashion.
    • Prepare a mini-presentation to discuss the subgroup data to the whole group.
      • The presentation should include an explanation of why the subgroup data stood out among the others and what this subgroup data means to a classroom teacher, an administrator, or to the school community.

CMS Teacher Portal
  • Go to CMS Intranetand log in with your username and password.
  • Under Quick Links (left side of webpage), click on Managing for Performance [Teacher Portal]
  • Once on the Home page, then click on My Reports (near top of webpage in red banner)
  • Look under the heading Report Component: Student Reports
    • Click on Prior EOG Results By Students
      • This report can be viewed by All EOG results, Math EOG results, Reading EOG results, or Science EOG results.
  • Now gather with your PLC and analyze a particular report from the My Reports page and discuss how the data from this report may be utilized by teachers.
    • Prepare a mini-presentation to discuss the report to the whole group.
      • The presentation should include an explanation of how your PLC will utilize this report to support teaching and learning.
